Tall Tales are storyteller/writers who provide a high quality storytelling service in Newport and Torfaen schools, Wales. We offer a diverse range of programmes to suit the needs of primary and secondary schools.

The storytellers have extensive teaching experience and work closely with advisers and schools when devising programmes which are entertaining, stimulating and thought provoking to both pupils and teachers alike.

Although Tall Tales tells a comprehensive range of age appropriate myths, legends, folk and wonder tales from around the world, it adds to its repertoire on a weekly basis.

In an ongoing commitment to expanding the body of folk tales available in English, Tall Tales also translate and have published 'Tales from Denmark – oral tradition revisited', 'More Tales from Denmark', 'The Ghost on Horseback', 'Three Pieces of good Advice', 'The Soldier and Mr Scratch' and 'Sods and Odds' (available from Tall Tales).

Tall Tales are members of Literature Wales (the Welsh National Literature Promotion Agency and Society for Authors) and its Writers On Tour scheme, which allows Literature Wales to contribute up to 50% of the costs of appropriate events organised and mounted in Wales.
